encourage waste reduction and segregation at the source. Furthermore, it delves into international concepts, policies, and laws related to waste management and circular economy promotion. The project intends to develop national-level policy and legal proposals to reform waste management and drive the circular economy.

In response to an increasing necessity for environmental research in planning national development as well as providing expanded graduate level courses, the Environmental Research Institute, Chulalongkorn University (ERIC) was established on 5 October 1974. A main role of ERIC is to conduct environmental research to provide information for planning on problem mitigation and prevention as well as conservation and development for a better environment and quality of life for Thai society.
