Together with Chula Zero Waste and multiple governmental departments, they make a curriculum and it has been implemented in some schools such as Baan Thep Kindergarden, Khlong Klua School, Wat Pho School, Rotary School Bangkok, Rayong Less Waste, and Naan School's รักษ์ไร้ขยะ.
Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) is one of the waste management alternatives. To encourage people’s participation in responsible waste handling, Less Plastic Thailand in collaboration with N15 Technology and Bangkaya made a project in which they send trucks to neighborhoods to collect their waste. The collected waste then will be turned into RDF.
This project was initially started during Covid-19 pandemic in which it aims to convert polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles into personal protective equipment (PPE). This project successfully produced 30,000 PPE suits from 100,000 kgs of PET bottles and the suits were distributed to 200 hospitals. Now that PPE is no longer in high-demand, Less Plastic Thailand shifted the end product from PPE suits to reflective safety garments. This project is done in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Thailand Environment Institute (TEI), PPP Plastics, Thailand Institute of Packaging and Recycling Management for Sustainable Environment (TIPMSE), Youเทิร์น by GC and Z-Safe and now have several drop-off collection points for people to drop their PET bottle waste.
Less Plastic Thailand is a non-profit organization that consists of dedicated volunteers to tackle plastic waste issues in Thailand since 2019. Their main activities are educational activities and social innovation to raise awareness of the importance of plastic usage cutting and the proper way of waste management.
