This project aims to study the impact of marine plastic pollution on manta rays and whale sharks in Indonesia and the Philippines by estimating the level of microplastic pollution in feeding waters, assessing microplastic ingestion rates, and examining the effects of microplastic consumption on manta rays and whale sharks. The objectives of this project include raising awareness, improving waste management, and supporting the local blue economy and ecotourism by highlighting the significance of these species.
