Led by each Trash Hero local chapter, volunteers are gathered to do cleanup weekly at designated places. As of December 2023, this activity in 13 countries has successfully 2,451,362 kg of waste together with 515,643 volunteers participating.
Interested volunteers to continuously participated in zero-waste programmes are being united in Trash Hero Communities where they are provided with on-going training related to waste management.
Trash Hero is a youth-led global volunteer movement which aims to bring the community together to tackle the problem of waste. Its network concentrated in Southeast Asia especially Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Singapore, and also extends to some countries, such as Czech Republic, Serbia, Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, Germany and Japan.
