Trashpedia is an online educational platform by Zero Waste Malaysia. As their name suggest, Trashpedia which is the combination of trash and encyclopedia, provides resources regarding proper waste handling. This platform can be accessed in their webpage.
Green Wira Program is a program aims to train educators on zero waste and sustainable living. The program started with 50 teachers joined a 9-week online course conducted by Zero Waste Malaysia. Next, top 20 were invited for a 3-day offline workshop and to submit their proposals. The best 2 are selected to begin their project with the support from Zero Waste Malaysia. Currently, from this program, two zero waste schools are established in Malaysia. They are Eco Smart Energy at SMK Taman Melati and Green Recycle House at SK Telok Panglima Parang. By 2030, GWP aims to empower 10,000 educators, educate 1,000,000 students, and build 100 zero-waste schools.
Zero Waste Malaysia is a non-profit organization that aims to raise the public's awareness on reducing plastic consumption and raise awareness on sustainable living. It was established in 2016 as a facebook community group, and now has developed with more on-the-ground projects and initiatives.
