The trend of the current textile industry is not only about yarns from organic sources, but it also gradually shifts to production from recycled materials. Consumers are slowly transiting their consumption habits to sustainable fashion, which is more concerned for the environment and prioritizes eco-friendly products.
Under our recycled yarn collection, we have 3 types of yarn: Recycled Filament Yarn, Recycled Staple Yarn, and Recycled Melange Yarn. This durable, flexible yarn gets its name from the ability of recycling post-consumer plastic bottles into an entirely new wearable material.
Recycled Filament yarn consists of one or multi continuous fibers that are twisted together and textured. Recycled Staple yarn is created from staple fibers and then twisted together. Recycled Melange includes more than one staple dyed fibers and then mixed to create various color effects.
These yarns are made of non-biodegradable PET/polyester plastic bottles which are sorted, cleaned, and then chopped into flakes. These flakes will further get cleaned and melted to be chips, then spinned to be polyester fibers by going through a mechanical or chemical treatment process. As for Recycled Melanged, it will go through a dyeing process before being spinned.
Our products are not only environmentally friendly, but also offer high-quality as they are durable, has good absorbency, anti-wrinkle, and quick to dry.
