In collaboration with One Earth - One Ocean, (oeoo), COMPED has been organizing the Mekong River cleanup since 2018. This project aims to clean the Mekong River and its tributaries by 2025.
The Cambodian Education and Waste Management Organization (COMPED) is a registered non-government organization at the Ministry of Interior since 2003. Their focus is on environmental protection, particularly on waste issues, as well as improving the livelihood of marginalized communities, such as poor and disadvantaged children of waste collectors, land workers, farmers etc., by providing education opportunities and social services.
